My intentions were so good.

enemyofperfect ,
When I have a small snack, brush my teeth, take my pills, lie down in bed, and turn out the lights, the next thing that is supposed to happen is that I fall asleep.
Other acceptable activities include thinking peacefully about my day, thinking happily about my day, thinking productively about my day (in moderation), thinking enjoyably about stories, and listening to music. Sleep is the ultimate goal, but any and all of these are acceptable stops along the way.
Kindly notice that freaking out for no particular reason is nowhere on this list.
Furthermore, there is no provision for adding it to the list merely because I take the above steps somewhat earlier than usual, or because I'm too exhausted to deal with this kind of nonsense.
Freaking out for no real reason is never on the list.
Affectionately (and axiomatically) yours,
