( Not even really spoilers for 3x05, Razgovor )
Dear show:
That is how you write an episode showcasing the awesome women on your cast.
I knew you had it in you.
Thank you,
enemyofperfect
P.S. No, but seriously, this is how you do it. You don't ask, "What are some lady things we can put in our lady episode? I know -- dresses, dating, and the color pink!" You take characters, who are female, and you have them do things awesomely. That's really pretty much it. I'm not saying it isn't to the good if some offensive tropes and stereotypes get trampled in the process, but honestly, if you're writing women as people and you have any understanding of the world you're living in, that will probably happen in any case.
P.P.S. This isn't a carte blanche to do whatever strikes you as good storytelling and call it feminist. You still have to pay attention to the way you're portioning out things like screen time and agency. The side benefit here, of course, is that less sexist stories are also better stories, full stop.
P.P.P.S. You had me so worried, these past few weeks. I'm glad you're feeling better now. ♥
