It was very boring, which is exactly what I prefer. It's a relief to have it done; now I just have to wait to find out what the rest of the country decided.
Well, technically, if you count the entire population of the US instead of only that portion of it which made it to the polls, only about 19% of us voted for him! Which is a nice thought, even if it does perhaps distort the situation just a tad.
I am very relieved that he lost, and very very cheered by all the articles opining that open racism and misogyny just might not be winning strategies anymore. Also, a little bemused by how happy I feel about Obama getting another four years, given our ideological differences, but... hey, free mood boost! I'll take it!
