I should probably just answer the phone
even when I know it's a wrong number. It can't be worse than having to call someone to let them know they've left a message with a complete stranger by mistake.
I guess I didn't actually have to, but the risk of their thinking that whatever loved one they'd been trying to contact with medical results[1] couldn't be bothered to call back was not one I felt like taking.
It would have been more traditional to reward myself with a cookie, but the chocolate pudding I had instead was entirely satisfactory.
