It's funny, because when a character is driving me up a wall, nothing is quite as soothing as seeing their flaws taken apart and explained like some kind of Ikea diagram -- but at the same time, even if I agree with someone's general drift, I get uncomfortable if I feel like they're just grabbing at anything they can use as a rhetorical bludgeon, rather than analyzing specific relevant flaws. I guess there's probably always going to be some subjectivity involved in that distinction, but it's important to me!
